Year 8 & 9 House Football

House 6-a-side football competitions for the Year 8 & 9 will begin next week. Games will be officiated by some of the Year 10 &11 GCSE and BTEC pupils and played on the hard court area.

Note: If the hard court area is too wet then Year 9 games will be played indoors.

 

Rules

1.      Each house is able to enter one team of at least 12 players (6-a-side matches).

2.      The tournament will take place on Tuesday lunchtimes.

3.      Times of your matches are shown in the table. You must be ready to begin or the game will start without you.

4.      The games will be 12 minutes one way.

5.      The games will follow normal 6-a-side rules except that players may enter the goalkeepers area, the ball must not go over the height of the fence and goalkeepers cannot kick the ball from hand. Rolling subs can be used and the game will not stop.

If a player is sent off he will miss the next game. A second sending off will be for the rest of the competition.

6.      Each house will play 4 matches.

7.      Each house should nominate a captain who will be in charge of their team and will be aware of when their matches are and who is playing – consideration must be given to changes in the team if someone is absent.

8.      SCORING You will be trying to gain points for your house.

Teams will be awarded;          3 points for a win         1 points for a draw
