On Friday
the 10th October fifteen year 9 and 10 netball players
travelled to Boreatton Park for a PGL Netball Tour.
Throughout
the weekend THOA pupils had the opportunity to enjoy the Outdoor Adventurous
Activities on offer, such as the high ropes course, quad biking, high trapeze
and abseiling, and take part in a netball tournament organised by England
Netball. The year 10 team fought hard against a number of private schools in
their pool and kept their heads up despite some hard falls. The year 9 team only
lost two games, coming third in their pool overall. At the end of the
tournament there was a selfie opportunity with Jodie Gibson, England Netball
International and Manchester Thunder netball star. She later tweeted a picture
of the Y9 selfie she’d taken!
It was a
pleasure to take the girls away. They were great company and a credit to THOA.
Many of the instructors and leaders commented on how well-mannered and polite
they were during their stay. Well done girls!
There’s only
one thing left to say… THOA THOA OOO OOO OOO!
