We held our annual
tag rugby tournament for the primary schools yesterday and had a great turnout.
Schools included: Tenbury, Lindridge, Burford, Clifton, Abberley, Martley,
Great Witley and Orleton.
The tournament’s
aim is to have fun and introduce pupils to the game. There was some fantastic
rugby being played and FUN was definitely present.
Well done to all
the teams for taking part in such a fantastic tournament!
Congratulations to
Martley and Orleton who made it to the final and after the 8 minutes, the score
was tied at 3 tries each. It was decided that because the game was so close and
the standard was superb, both teams should take the winners medal.
One parent
commented, “As a parent thank you very much for the rugby tournament yesterday!
My son… loved it.”
We'd also like to thank Kit Garbutt and Joel Stones for volunteering to help out.
