On Saturday 11th June, Nunnery Wood held the annual county athletics
championships.
From THOA, Tom Newall and Hannah Lancaster represented us in the
high jump and 1500m, respectively.
Tom managed to clear 1.55m and finished in 6th place. A great effort
from Tom who is already looking forward to qualify for next year's event.
Hannah won her race with an outstanding finish. She was right behind the
leader for 1300m and managed to overtake with an amazing sprint finish to
become county champion.
She
will now represent the county at the inter-county championships at the
Alexander stadium this weekend (18th June).
Well done to both athletes!!
