Pupils are now ready for the 2014 Ski Tour!

Pupils from Tenbury High School are only weeks away from their 2014 Ski Tour to Austria.

Between Friday 3rd January and Saturday 11th January 2014, 38 pupils in years 10 & 11 will be in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Austria for the Tenbury High School Ski Tour.

The well known skiing area of Saalbach-Hinterglemm, situated in the Glemm Valley, offers a great ski circuit with 200km of piste covering both sides of the valley, combined with a good snow record.

In preparation for the tour, we have provided pupils the chance of visiting the dry ski slope in Telford on two occasions (Monday 11th & 18th November). Beginners have used this opportunity to gain the confidence and develop the basic technique required for the snow and the more confident pupils who've before have refreshed their skills.

The practice sessions have been a huge success with pupils having a great time on both occasions. As the excitement increases they are now ready and waiting to hit the slopes in Austria.

Below is a selection of pictures from the practice sessions.

Pictures from the tour will be added to our blog early next year so make sure you check.
