Ski Tour 2017-18

Well done to all pupils who attended this year’s ski trip in Saalbach, Austria.
We left THOA on Friday 29th 2017 and arrived back on Saturday 6th Jan 2018. The group had 5 days of excellent skiing. We had a great time with lots of snow. The progress that the groups made was excellent and full credit to the instructors.

Touch Rugby Tournament

THS held a mixed, touch rugby competition for Year 9 today (24/03/2014 ). Including the Tenbury team, teams from the Chantry and the Chase also took part, creating a competition of 4 teams.

This was a great opportunity for the year 9 girls, who have been taking part in our girls rugby practice after school on a weekly basis. Although our team came 4th it was nice to see all pupils, having fun and working together against other schools.

The Team included:

Tom Bowen
Kit Garbutt
Brandon Hadley
Tom Ferguson
Alfie Watts
Jake Lambert
Silke Everitt
Verity Van-Straaten
Jo-Jo Flower
Sophie Griffiths
Imogen Elliott

Regarding the KS4 tournament, THS have been automatically selected to play in the Worcestershire Summer School Games, held on the 24th June.

Sport Relief

It has been a busy time in the PE department this week, raising money for sport relief.

Pupils in KS3 have been collecting sponsors for completing a sport relief mile during their PE lessons; completing it in a range of whacky ways. Some methods have included: fancy dress, three legged, piggy backs and even a unicycle.

The evidence is below!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In addition to the sport relief mile, the whole school got involved in a range of fun sporting challenges.
During the week our 4 houses (Aztec Golds, Blue Barbarians, Jade Warriors and Red Marauders) took it in turns to complete the activities during learning mentor time at the end of the day. The results are still to be confirmed but should be announced early this week.
Some of the activities included: score as many baskets in a minute, standing broad jump, badminton rally, new age kurling, hoola hoop challenge and many more.
The aim was to get as many pupils as possible to take part in the challenges and encourage lots of sport leaders to assist.

As soon as we have a total of money raised we will let you know.
